NSW:Woman punched in home invasion

SYDNEY, Dec 20 AAP - An armed thief punched a young woman in the head after he threatened
her with a knife during a home invasion on the NSW mid north coast.

Police say the intruder's face was concealed when he entered a home at Forster, about
8.30pm (AEDT) on Monday.

He threatened a 28-year-old woman, who was home alone at the time, and demanded she
hand over her purse.

The man then assaulted the woman and punched her head before fleeing.

The man, who is described as about 170cm tall, was wearing dark pants and jacket.
